OUR WINE O ALBOREXAR TAKES PLACE WITH ONE OF THE HIGHEST RATES OF THE TASTING. THE PRESTIGIOUS DECANTER MAGAZINE, INTERNATIONAL REFERENCE IN THE WORLD OF WINE, HAS RECENTLY PUBLISHED THE RESULTS OF THE FIRST EDITION OF THE SPANISH ATLANTIC RED WINES TASTING OF RED WINES.
The professional tasting places O Alborexar as one of the best wines with 91 points, reaching the category of “Highly recommended” with a score between 90 and 94 points, highlighting its complexity and nuances.
In this first edition of the tasting of Atlantic wines have participated red wines producing by wineries belonging to the regions of Galicia, Asturias and the Basque Country. The tasting jury consisted of three great personalities from the world of wine: two of them hold the title of Master of Wine, is the case of the Spanish Pedro Ballesteros and the British Sarah Jane Evans. The third member of this jury is one of the most relevant buyers in the international scene, Christine Parkinson.
This wine, made from native varieties of our D.O. Ribeiro, as is the case of Brancellao, Caínho, Sousón or Ferrón, is “Structured and complex”, with “smells and tastes like a baker´s shop: malt loaf aromas, Chelsea bun-like flavours with candied, crisp red fruit and a leathery finish”. Finaly, It is really important his “real personality”.
